(And it’s not that German lady…zing!)  They’re called snow rollers and apparently they’re very rare.  They only happen when the snow is super light and sticky and the weather is very windy.  And they don’t stay there for long because polar bears come and eat them immediately!  From www.wrh.noaa.gov.
