Well, it happened. I noticed it yesterday evening after my bike ride home. My 8-month old A.P.C.’s had gotten their first tear. Click for the continuation.
I posted previously on these same jeans after I washed them in the ocean, but no body of water could have saved me from this. I’m pretty sure it’s due to daily bike riding on worn in saddle, but I can’t argue with that. I was kind of surprised that it wasn’t on the seam, so the repair might be a bit difficult. I can also see a bust coming on the opposite side too. No more bike riding in these for me.
I’ll take them over to Mitchum’s Shoe Repair in Carytown early next week and keep you posted on the whole repair process. They do a great job with any alterations.
