If you haven’t guessed it by now, we’re a bit in love with denim. The history of it, the feel of it, the story behind it and how it truly becomes yours over time. As you probably know, it’s not just any denim that becomes “yours” over time, is a very specific type. It’s the type of denim that dates back to when the material was created, when it was used daily, hardly ever taken off, and worn by men who had no fucking clue what “whisker stripes” were.
So we’re proud to add yet another contender in the “heavyweight hitters” of denim category. In about a month, we’ll be joining a list of about 20 retailers across the glob to carry San Francisco’s Tellason denim. Click to read more.
Tellason is a fairly new brand to come into the denim market, but they are doing so with integrity and a respect for the past. They’re a no-bullshit company making a product as raw and basic as it can get. Not only is each pair of jeans made in the good ol’ US of A, but the raw material is sources from Greensboro, North Carolina’s White Cone Denim, one of the best in the business. To top that off, their leather is sourced from Portland’s own Tanner Dry Goods, creating a no-nonsnese pair of American blues.
And we’re going to leave it at that. As soon as the product comes in, you’ll be the first to know. To discover a little bit more about the company try reading a good interview on them done by Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean.
And if you’re still new to this whole raw denim thing, try reading this recent article in The Men’s Journal on the basics of denim.
