Ripped & Repaird – Raleigh Denim

Nearly a year ago, I bought my first pair of Raleigh Denim jeans, right when they hit the shelves of the store. My plan was for them to slowly replace my first pair of raw denim jeans, the ones that I have had for nearly 7 months, the ones that I had already ripped holes in and the ones that I had already washed in the ocean. They were going to soon replace the jeans that I had grown to love so much. The only thing is, they replaced them much faster than that.

Over the course of nearly a year, my Raleigh Denim Lincoln Raw Thin Cuts quickly became my favorite pair, leaving my first pair hanging on the door for good. The locally-sourced white oak cone denim was far superior to anything I’d had in the past, so superior that after daily bike riding, it took nearly 9 months to rip a hole in the crotch. From legs of a daily bicycle commuter, 9 months is a long time for a rip to occur.

The following photographs document the rip in the jeans and the amazing repair job by our friends over at Raleigh Denim. This wasn’t a surface repair either, these guys gave my Lincoln’s a repair job that will probably last a lifetime (as you can see from the photographs). They even chain stitched my original hem job. If you’re interested in repair work on your jeans from Raleigh Denim, shoot them an e-mail to see what they can do.
