I had always wanted a good pair of canvas pants. They seem like the best thing ever when fall heads into winter. Most of the ones that I had seen or tried were mean for the job site, with all good reason. The fit was roomier and simply not what I was looking for. Then we got in a small run from Raleigh Denim of their Jones Indigo Raw Canvas pant, a dark dyed canvas with a slim/straight fit. Was it too good to be true?
It was official, I had found the perfect pair of pants. The fit, beyond perfect. Just by snapping in the last button I knew the fit was exactly what I was looking for. Not too slim (that just wouldn’t work for canvas) but not to baggy. Straight leg, mid rise. Couldn’t ask for more. Oh, and the dark, indigo dye, wowzas.
Like everything from Raleigh Denim, they are handcrafted and sourced in North Carolina. Selvage indigo-dyed canvas from Cone Mills White Oak Plant, each pair is hand signed and individually numbered from Raleigh Denim. I wear them probably 3-4 days out of the week and my the results have been beautiful to watch. 4 months in / 0 washes. Pants are show with a Tanner Supply Co. leather belt.
