Our friend Abigail over at Kickstand just turned us on to one of the most pleasant and peaceful, yet totally dance-worthy tracks ever that’s just dying to let spring in through the back door. Say hello to the coolest bus driver in Florida, David Levesque (who performs under the name Levek). “I’m a bus driver that makes music. After a long day of elementary schoolers putting gum on my lovely pleather bus seats I enjoy a good space jam while sorting through the Disney VHS collection.”
Levek started off covering acts such as Radiohead, St. Vincent and Bon Iver, but has recently found a groove so unique to him that it’s almost hard to describe. Even my mom loves it. The track Loon and the Lion, is a perfect example of his work. At the 46-second mark, when the ukulele is somewhat taken over by the deep percussion and jungle noise, you’ll really get the picture. We would love to be on that bus ride.
