If you haven’t yet, make sure you take a look at the Style Bible in GQ Magazine’s April 2012 issue for “everything a man needs to look his best in 2012″. Covering everything from clothing & accessories to people & places, The GQ 100 tells you exactly what you need to know, and nothing you don’t. In fact, the #1 thing GQ thinks you should know is that there’s never been a better time to be a man who cares about style, and we couldn’t agree more. Click through for some of our favorites from the issue.
Mark McNairy: We’re big fans of Mark McNairy‘s design style, whether it be for his own clothing and shoe collections, Woolrich Woolen Mills, or any of his other projects. GQ calls his design formula “take something basic and shake all the boring out of it”, which is something we can totally get behind.
Unisex scent trend: Smelling good isn’t just a girl thing; gender-neutral scents for both body and home are one of our favorite things right now, and GQ agrees. Check out D.S. & Durga and Juniper Ridge for earthy, woodsy scents that go both ways.
Saturdays Surf NYC: Summer is heading our way fast, and we’ve stocked up on one of our favorite new brands to get ready for it. Inspired by 1960′s surf style and made for “surfers in a concrete jungle”, GQ calls Saturdays one of the best new menswear designers in America, and we completely agree.
Dress shoes with an attitude: Today’s shoe trend isn’t your dad’s shiny black loafers- think neon soles, tassles, double monk straps, mesh, and unexpected colors when picking up your next pair of shoes. Or if you’re really adventurous, substitute a sneaker for your classic dress shoe. GQ shows us what’s up in the world of shoes, and it’s clearly all about color.
These are just a few highlights, but the entire Style Bible is a must-read. And a big thanks to GQ for naming us the #1 E-commerce on the web and one of the top 25 best men’s stores in America!
