To complete Benga’s video for I Will Never Change, a total of 960 vinyl records were measured, cut, and then fitted to a single pole. To animate the wave form, the piece had to be unassembled a total of 960 times to place each record. Any shift in the position of the sculpture would mean the team would have to start over entirely. In short terms, there was only one shot at this. The final project took nearly 30 hours to complete.
