West America

So there are these two dudes that live in Portland, Oregon. One’s name is Jordan Hufnagel who started Hufnagel Cycles (a really awesome bicycle company), and the other is James Crowe of Crowe Metal Co. Both of these dudes work under the same roof in the same fabrication shop where not only do they spend hours building amazing things, but share ideas, beers, welders, and the desire for adventure. Their lives are soon about to get a lot more adventurous when they both share a journey through South America on two completely custom built motorcycles.

What’s even cooler about their trip is that they’re going to share it with us on the blog they’ve started. West America is the photo journal of their current adventures and their upcoming ones. It currently contains some of the most amazing film photographs we’ve seen in a while that document their trips throughout the Northwest.

The stories you’ll be able to see from the photos they share are sure to be amazing. Make sure to continually check back to West America for updates of all sorts. They also have a mini online store where they are selling some of the custom camping gear they have made for their trip.

All photos on this post are borrowed directly from the West America site, and were taken by people we don’t really know but would like to meet someday. We wish the two the best of luck, fun, safety, and adventure on the trip. Like Yvon Chouinard says, “The word adventure has gotten overused. For me, when everything goes wrong, that’s when adventure starts.
