We’ve known that a collaboration between Talking Heads’ David Byrne and St. Vincent’s Annie Clark was in the works, and today you can preview the album, Love This Giant, in its entirety on NPR here. The art-pop geniuses have melded together eachother’s signature sounds and recorded the album over the course of two years in Hoboken, NJ. They cowrote 10 of the albums 12 tracks, each penning one of the two remaining songs. The album is a schizophrenic, quivering soundscape held together by off-kilter harmonies and idiosyncratic horn arrangements. Featuring guest appearances by Antibalas, the Dap-Kings, and John Congleton, Love This Giant is slotted for a September 11th release date, but you can download the single, Who, here.
