Vintage Style: Bonnie Parker

Bonnie and Clyde, a 1967 gangster thriller based on the legendary bank robbing duo Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, shocked and awed audiences in the 1960s. Starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty as the Depression-era lovers, the film was hugely influential in multiple areas, and oddly enough, one of those was women’s wardrobes. The style department of the film pulled out all the stops creating the wardrobe for Bonnie Parker, in fact, Theadora Van Runkle, the costume designer for the film, won her first Oscar nomination for the looks she pulled together. Some serious style can be seen in that film and here are a few of our favorites. Robbing banks never looked so good.

Feeling inspired? This look is all about the accessories, so shop our favorite Bonnie-esque pieces below: lovely handkerchiefsa long belted coat, and of course, a hat called the The Dunaway.
