The weather here in Richmond is chilly and wet. It’s got us wanting to snuggle up with a blanket, a cup of tea, and this sad song from Bay Area girl, Big Eagle, the video filmed on a rainy Big Sur day.

Big Eagle is the stage name of Robyn Miller. She grew up the daughter of an artist and naturalist and spent her childhood among the towering redwoods in Humbodt County, California. Her first album, Willow Creek, was released in 2011 after a nearly decade-long musical odyssey (anyone remember her as the flamboyant femme fatale who fronted The Peels way back when?) that led her off to Los Angeles then back to the mountains of Humboldt, where the title of Willow Creek originated. We think all her Americana folk-rock musings are lovely, but this particular song, If He’s Even Great, may keep me from leaving my house today. Who doesn’t love a good rainy day?
