YWFT & Need Supply Co

We’ve been big fans of YWFT for a long time, so it’s natural we’re excited about collaborating with them. They have an amazing collection of fonts available on their site, and we’ll be utilizing those on future projects. One of our current favorites is Sofia. I’m sure you’ll find a few new favorites also.

You also might see our images popping up on their site from time to time, which we can’t complain about either.

Read more about it here.

WHERE

We discovered WHERE during our last trip to the UK. Besides the amazing design, the companies ethics and fundamentals as a whole are what really attracted us to them. The pieces are hand made from very small producers and artisan communities around the globe. Everyone involved in the entire process of each piece receives a fair wage and is treated with the upmost respect, the way things should be. Designer Laura Villasenin is responsible for the footwear’s unique look. Laura graduated from London’s renowned school, Cordwainers, with a first class design degree in Product Design and development in the fashion industry. Click for the continuation.

History Lesson – The Shawl Collar Cardigan

The Shawl Collar Cardigan is pure style, the turtleneck is another story. Boxer Gene Tunney had the ladies K.O.’d whenever he slipped one of those bad boys on. This season is full of options for this look, better yet, refined options with a bit of today’s touch. It’s a staple in any timeless collection that will withstand the changes in styles throughout the years, it’s a guaranteed hit. Look for details like leather buttons, pockets and unique fabrics. Most importantly the fit. Here’s what we have to offer…

History Lesson – Red Wing Boots

I grew up chopping firewood in 10 inches of snow. At the age of 12 I was using a chainsaw and driving a tractor. I remember one time my dad took me into town, (please note that I lived half an hour from the nearest grocery store) we went to a store on Main Street called Red Front Clothing, and they sold workwear, knives, and thats about it. My dad told me that when my foot got a little bigger, he’d get me a pair of Red Wing boots for Christmas. This of course was not appealing because I wanted a Sega Genesis. However my dad still has his Red Wing boots that he’s had for over 15 years and they are worn perfectly from snow, rain, grease and the outdoors. Red Wing isn’t some pop up company, they’ve been around since 1905 and they still use the same machinery from 1905, so you’ve got some real history on your feet. Red Wing Boots are now in stock and you can get them here.

Astroids? Sketch bro…

I just watched this video  a buddy of mine posted and it kinda gave some really unsettling figures about how realistic it is that an Astroid could hit earth and cause huge ecological affects to the earth. Pretty sketch, but I’ve always been into space / science, so kinda interesting too. Check out the armeggedon here.

This weekend was amazing, Richmond summertime at it’s peak. There were no rules and plenty of booze. Best Friends Day is one of the main reasons we love Richmond so much, because BFD is like nothing else you’ve ever experienced. No matter where you’re from or who you know in Richmond, experiencing this event will change your life. These are the first set of amazing pictures that popped up on the web today from local photographer Captain Tom Fields. Check them all out here.
